Abu Dhabi, UAE, 20 March: Tadweer Group, a sustainable waste champion, has announced a series of engaging activities to reduce food waste and encourage a circular economy throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. From mosque visits to engagement at malls, Tadweer Group is inviting the community to join in the activities and convene to create a greener, healthier environment. The organisation’s Community Engagement team will visit these locations to engage with the public on the importance of viewing food as a blessing, and understand visitors’ knowledge on appropriate disposal practices.

The organisation has also partnered with Ne’ma, the National Food Loss and Waste Initiative under Emirates Foundation, to sponsor an episode of Freej, the popular Emirati cartoon which showcases the UAE’s heritage and culture. The special episode is focused on the importance of reducing food waste, and is now available for viewing on Shahid.
